The Foreigners Centre Culture Office maintains relationships with the foreign communities in Modena, the various religious communities, the foreigner associations, the volunteer associations in Modena and the citizens committees, the neighbourhood groups and the managers of CAS (Centri di accoglienza straordinaria – Extraordinary hospitality centres) and SPRAR (Sistema di protezione richiedenti asilo e rifugiati – Asylum applicants and refugee protection system) in the municipal territory. Cultural initiatives, collaboration between parties, and dialogues between the various components of the neighbourhoods are coordinated and held. From April 2018 through June 2019, more than 100 initiatives were carried out, connected to volunteer work which involved about 40 associations.
