Project INTARSI

The Union of Municipalities of Val di Savio is leader and Modena is a project partner.  INTARSI’s goal is to assess and improve regional social assistance services in charge of assisting and promoting autonomy and integration of third-country citizens belonging to families, including single-parent families, with residency permits for an international asylum or protection request, who have specific characteristics that make them especially vulnerable. Through the active involvement of institutions, public services operators, third parties and social volunteers, the project will allow enhancement of social and community networks, contributing to the construction of a favourable context for the positive integration of third-country citizens in the local setting.

In particular, INTARSI intends to:

– create and consolidate territorial governance networks;

– create ad hoc training paths and an operational support system for the social help desks by using operators expert in accessing health, social and educational services, legal protection, linguistic or cultural mediation;

– conceive and develop new models of integrated public/private referrals aimed at increasing the autonomy of families, even single-parent families, that anticipate the definition of personalised and innovative paths pertinent to housing and employment placement, education and health, to parenting and school, social inclusion, family empowerment and legal protection;

– defining models for experimental procedures and operational instruments aimed at improving integrated and multi-disciplinary management of placement projects, in order to make more efficient the public and private services offered;

– disseminate the results and materials produced during and at the end of the project (agendas, training kits, case studies, assessment instruments, guidelines, etc).
