- Social integration of foreigners who have acquired the right of residence in Romania and of the citizens of Member States of the European Union and of the European Economic Area is done through on-demand participation in cultural accommodation activities, counselling and Romanian-language learning.
- Integration programmes for these categories of foreigners and activities facilitating the integration are developed and implemented based on the needs of beneficiaries.
- The cultural adaptation session is performed by specialised IGI personnel to familiarise the aforementioned people with Romanian traditions, customs and cultural values and to provide practical information on Romanian society.
- Romanian language courses are organised by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the General Inspectorate for Immigration and are aimed at familiarising the participants with the Romanian language. At the end of the course the participants’ knowledge is evaluated by a committee appointed by the MEC, which assesses the level of knowledge of participants and grants them a certificate of participation.
