Women Network

Women  of Mediterranean East and South European Network is an international network of women representing institutions and associations active in the Mediterranean, the Balkan region, and Eastern Europe. The aim of the network is to promote equal opportunities for women and men and to contribute to the valorisation of cultural differences and cultures in general.

Events:

First iteration of the international “Women’s rights first of all” – conference – from 14 to 16 December 2017.

Conference on women’s rights as inalienable rights, with a specific focus on the condition of migrant women, who represent one of the most critical points of the migratory experience.

Second iteration of the international “Women’s rights first of all” – conference – 4 December 2018.

Public conference with the theme “Migrant women: between civil rights, integration and culture”.

Conference organised with the support of the Emilia-Romagna Region in the area of the project “Women’s rights between culture, migration, integration and identity” Conference theme: the different perspectives of inclusion and integration of migrant women.

One founding partner of the Women’s Network is the Trama di Terre Association in Imola which offers welcoming projects for migrant women; introductions and explanations of services offered; labour training; Italian language courses for Arabic-speaking foreign women.
